Born in Paderborn (Germany) I moved to Cologne at the age of 20 getting in touch with art and theatre business, gaining first experiences at a small theatre.

Subsequently I have worked as freelancer for a variety of theatre troupes in Germany.

 

From 2000 to 2002 I broadly extended and formalized my skills by training as Certified Master of Event Operation with a focus on Illumation at the Handwerkskammer Köln (Cologne/Germany).

 

Afterwards I was engaged at an established travelling theatre for two years responsible for planning, supervision and technical execution of EU-wide performances.

 

Feeling the drive to refine my proficiencies and broaden my creative horizon I studied Light Design at the Academy of Music and Theatre in Munich from 2004 to 2007.

 

From 2008 to 2011 I officiated at a permanent position as Light Designer and Event Operator at a theatre in Salzburg.

 

Since August 2011 I am now available as freelancer.
